Amelia studied Biomedical Material Sciences at Birmingham University, it was here she decided to continue her education and went on to study Dentistry graduating from UCLan University in 2014.
Amelia finds working with children incredibly rewarding, teaching them the importance of preventing tooth decay and maintaining a healthy dentition all in a relaxed and fun dental appointment. She also thoroughly enjoys working with anxious patients, gaining their trust and confidence to make any dental treatment a comfortable experience.
Since qualifying Amelia has completed several short courses and is always keen to further expand her knowledge and skills. She has developed a particular interest in minimally invasive dentistry, using materials that allow superior strength, function and aesthetics with minimal damage to the tooth.
Amelia is currently embarking on a year long restorative course with Liverpool IDEAL and has long term plans to return to university to further her knowledge within higher education.
Outside of dentistry Amelia loves keeping active, whether it be playing netball, riding horses or helping her husband with the cows on the family dairy farm. She has a passion for food and travel which are often combined, exploring new countries and their cuisines and then attempting to recreate at home.
Being a Cheshire girl Amelia has remained local working in practices within the Northwest and is very much looking forward to joining The Cottage team in Sandbach.
